DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Roadway Programs Technician 2, your role will involve conducting thorough technical analyses and independent assessments of the maintenance work programs managed by the Department of Transportation's Bucks Maintenance Office. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of detailed purchasing activities, including the examination of requisitions, the creation of bid documents, the evaluation and awarding of bids, and the preparation of contracts and purchase orders. You will also be responsible for utilizing a departmental purchasing card within Bucks County. Furthermore, your contributions will be vital in ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, goals, and objectives by analyzing data related to maintenance activities, programs, and associated costs. This analytical approach will help facilitate effective decision-making and enhance the overall efficiency of maintenance operations.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
