Job Description
Raymond West is looking for a sharp Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT team! The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for contributing to the development, test, maintenance, and enhancement of all Business Intelligence (BI) applications and products. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.
- Work in cross functional teams within both business units and Information Technology to assist with gathering and evaluating detailed project requirements to support delivery of effective business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Gather and define business requirements directly with end users.
- Develop and test custom reports, interactive dashboards, and visualizations using one or more BI tools including SSRS and Power BI
- Gain subject matter expertise level knowledge in the company's data and business processes.
- Maintain, revise, and update existing software as required.
- Analyze, write, and produce ad-hoc queries and/or reports as required.
- Prepare technical and/or end-user documentation as required.
- Provide Production support of BI applications and systems.
- Perform ongoing monitoring, automation and refinement of reports and BI solutions.
- Provide analysis and issue resolution on business reporting concerns.
- Participate in design and delivery of cubes, dashboards, and various self-service BI solutions.
- Monitor, maintain and perform tuning of reporting portal(s).
- Translate business needs into data, technology, visualization, functionality, and process requirements.
- Assess BI tools, technologies, and custom development options to provide recommendations during the solution design process.
- Research, document, and assist in the resolution of data quality issues.
- Provide a high degree of customer service on projects and in cross-departmental interactions.
- Maintain an outcome driven mindset, take ownership of user requirements and issues, and drive proactively towards solutions.
- Provide proactive, clear, and efficient communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Provide end user setup and training as needed.
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout design and development.
- Gather and document reporting requirements from stakeholder meetings regarding report development and ad hoc requests.
- Assist in migration of end users from Excel based report to Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and tools.
- Maintain the design and development standards for Business Intelligence (BI).
- Keep current with Business Intelligence data trends and technological innovations.
- Assist in integrating Business Central data into BI solutions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Develop and maintain BI solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including Lakehouse, Dataflows, and OneLake integration.
- Collaborate with ERP teams to understand Business Central data structures and workflows for optimized reporting.
- Support migration and transformation of Business Central data into Fabric-based architectures for analytics.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
- Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
- Must have a broad understanding and experience of data modeling, data management, ETL and BI.
- Experience working in a SQL-based environment with SSRS and Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including understanding of its data model and reporting capabilities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Lakehouse architecture, Dataflows, and integration with Power BI.
- Ability to design and implement BI solutions using Fabric for scalable data management and analytics.
- Results-Driven with ability to take initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Excellent problem solving and critical reasoning skills.

Education/Experience:
Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position
- Preferred experience: bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience
- 6-year minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering and BI development.

Pay Range:
- The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
