Description
Overview/Function: The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled. They act as the lead team member handling the shipping and receiving of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company products, ensuring incoming products and materials are efficiently stored in the correct location, pulling product in preparation for delivery, and staging and loading product in accordance with company standards. This role may also provide performance-based coaching feedback, direction of work and guidance to the assigned team, support any specific area of responsibility and/or team as designated by Supervisor and/or Manager. This position must adhere to all established Atlantic Bottling safety procedures and policies, while multi-tasking and making sound proactive decisions in a noisy and time-sensitive environment. Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the movement of product/raw materials in the warehouse and dock areain an efficient, effective and safe manner.
- Utilize material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.) and help ensure warehouse team safely operates equipment.
- Assist warehouse team with order fulfillment tasks (pulling product, loading and unloading trucks, rotation inventory, etc.).
- Count and inspect product; ensure accurate reports. Help to resolve discrepancies.
- Minimize damaged products.
- Help provide guidance on the floor to ensure efficient operations.
- Comply with all safety procedures. Maintain clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
- Ethical conduct is expected at all times.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
- CDL is helpful but not required
- Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
- Ability to work in an active and fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs.
- Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols.
- Team-player with the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
- Positive, helpful attitude with the ability to effectively coach others.
- Some light computer experience is helpful.
- Regular, consistent attendance is an essential job function.
Additional:
- This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
- This position is very active and requires the employee to frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.)
- Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- To accomplish their tasks, the position will work in a warehouse environment in which the temperate is unregulated and can be dependent upon outdoor temperatures. The warehouse can be noisy with an active environment.
