Regulation and Compliance Engineer

Ensure all tire and wheel products meet global and regional safety and industry-specific regulations. Act as the technical authority on compliance throughout the product lifecycle-from concept to production release and post-launch surveillance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Regulatory Strategy & Standards Compliance



    • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements specific to tires, wheels, and related systems (e.g., FMVSS, SAE, TRA, NHTSA, USTMA) during design and development.
    • Monitor changes in global regulations and standards; assess their impact on product lines and internal processes.



  • Documentation & Submissions



    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for regulatory submissions



  • Testing, Validation & Audits



    • Analyze test outcomes, identify non-compliance issues, and oversee corrective and preventive actions.



  • Product Development Collaboration



    • Review and approve technical documentation from a regulatory standpoint.



  • Standards Management & Risk Assessment



    • Research and interpret domestic and international standards (e.g., TRA, ISO, SAE).



  • Continuous Improvement & Training



    • Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews.



Basic Requirements:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, Regulatory Science, or related discipline.


Preferred Professional Experience:



  • 5+ years in regulatory/compliance roles within automotive, with specific exposure to tire or wheel systems.
  • Hands-on experience with certification processes, documentation for FMVSS/SAE, and coordination with regulatory bodies.


Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of regulations and standards: FMVSS (108, 119, 120), SAE J standards, TRA, ISO, NHTSA guidelines
  • Proficient in preparing compliance documentation, managing electronic submission systems, and audit readiness.


Competencies & Soft Skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative aptitude.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication for reports, training, and regulatory engagement.
  • Detail-oriented with a risk-based mindset.
  • Effective project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
