We are looking for a Director, Retail Sales - Lowe's to manage all aspects of the Trex Lowe's business, inclusive of, but not limited to, owning key relationships, strategy development and implementation, and profitable volume growth. As a Trex Director, Retail Sales - Lowe's, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to effectively manage internal relationships, customer team development, growing the business profitably, and financial management. This role is a key member of our Retail Sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and execute Lowe's growth strategy and achieve financial goals:



  • Develop short-term and long-term customer strategy and oversee execution.
  • Achieve sales and key performance indicator goals.
  • Develop and manage effective and profitable P&L. Focus financial resources on pull-through initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze performance against key initiatives and leverage data to improve strategy.
  • Negotiate win/win outcomes that are beneficial for both Trex and the customer.


Develop strong customer relationships:



  • Manage relationships with key contacts at Lowe's corporate headquarters, inclusive of merchants, ecommerce, supply chain, marketing, and accounting teams.
  • Develop linkage between Trex field sales organization and key customer operations personnel.
  • Work closely with distributors to ensure an efficient and growing special order business.


Advocate for, and advance the customer agenda internally:



  • Work with the field sales organization to implement and effectively execute headquarters programs at the regional and local level.
  • Work with marketing teams on developing advertising, product, and merchandising plans, and ensure retailer messaging is consistent with brand image.
  • Partner with the supply chain team to ensure efficient flow of inventory and accurate forecasting.
  • Work with the IT team on customer digital initiatives and the ecommerce business.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to drive profitable P&L.


Work closely with two-step distributor partners to grow the special-order program:



  • Meet regularly with distributor partners to implement strategy.
  • Oversee data management and ecommerce initiatives to provide seamless consumer experiences.


DIRECT REPORTS

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of 3 direct reports.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires 5-8 overnights per month within the US. A valid driver's license is required.

JOB LOCATION

Charlotte, North Carolina, United States (Hybrid)



  • Candidates must reside in the Charlotte Metro Area and be available to meet on-site with the customer 1-3 times per week.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a Bachelor's degree, along with at least 15 years of sales experience. 5 years of key account responsibility and people management experience are also required. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Mass Retail or Home Center Customers.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $220,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. We are committed to maintaining pay equity and consider the internal equity of our existing team members when finalizing compensation offers.
