Job Summary

The Administrator of Government Public Policy Initiatives plays a key role in advancing the mission of the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom by leading and coordinating research initiatives that evaluate the effectiveness of local and state public policies and their impact on free-market systems. This position is also responsible for organizing and facilitating roundtables, public forums, conferences, and stakeholder engagements, fostering collaboration and dialogue among internal and external partners. This position engages with government entities, academic institutions, and private-sector partners at the state, national, and international levels to advance collaborative research and policy discussions. The role also oversees the organization of events, forums, and conferences that showcase research outcomes and strengthen the Center's role as a thought leader in public policy and economic freedom. Additionally, the Administrator assists in recruiting and coordinating distinguished Senior Leadership Fellows who contribute as lecturers
and thought partners in the Center's academic programming.

  • Positions the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom as a thought leader in public policy, limited government, and free-market principles. Conducts and supports analytical initiatives at the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom that review, compare, and evaluate the effectiveness of local and state public policies and their impact on free market societies.
  • Under the direction of the Director of the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom, selects topics of analysis, develops, coordinates, and maintains program initiatives, and oversees the research of state and local programs. Supervises the services of external public and private sector partners and vendors.
  • Assist in the recruitment and coordination of distinguished Senior Leadership Fellows to serve as lecturers and speakers in the program. Plans, coordinates, and executes events to highlight research outcomes, convening, but not limited to, roundtables, public forums, conferences, and public engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide senior communications and marketing proposals, providing high-level advice on initiatives that promote programs and events. Engage with national and international partners to collaborate in joint research opportunities.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field and six (6) years of related work experience or Master's degree in business, education, or related field and four (4) years of related work experience.

  • Bilingual (e.g. English and Spanish)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional partnerships at the local, national, and international levels to advance collaborative research and outreach initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, policy briefs, and communication strategies for all audiences.
