The Global Product Marketing Director leads global product marketing strategy, shaping how the company engages priority personas, positions its solutions, and drives commercial success across global markets. This leader oversees a team of marketers responsible for defining core customer personas and building the messaging frameworks that unite multiple business lines under cohesive, customer-led value propositions. Operating at the intersection of strategy, enablement, and thought leadership, this role defines global product marketing direction and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Persona-Led Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the executive voice of product marketing within the marketing leadership team, building and leading a team of persona-focused marketers aligned to priority customer segments.
- Architect and maintain a unified, global persona strategy, ensuring the team develops and sustains deep insights into customer pain points, market dynamics, and solution needs.
- Lead team of marketers to ensure persona insights are translated into scalable messaging frameworks and content strategies that span multiple products and services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the strategic bridge between Product, Commercial, and Corporate Strategy, ensuring market insights directly influence product roadmaps and growth priorities through structured feedback loops and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Growth Marketing and Marketing Operations to embed persona-based messaging across campaigns, channels, and enablement platforms.
- Design and implement a global enablement ecosystem that continuously develops commercial teams on product messaging, objection handling, and competitive differentiation.
- Serves as a strategic thought partner to executive business unit leadership, translating GTM strategies into product marketing action.
Content & Enablement Strategy
- Oversee the creation of persona-first marketing and sales enablement tools (e.g., message houses, battlecards, pitch decks, one-pagers).
- Partner with Sales and Operational leadership to establish feedback loops and competency metrics to ensure marketing content reflects evolving customer pain points and market conditions, leveraging AI-enabled systems where possible.
- Partner with external agencies to accelerate content development and delivery.
Performance & Optimization
- Own and report KPIs for persona readiness, content effectiveness, and sales enablement impact.
- Use feedback loops from growth campaign performance, BDRs, and Sales to continuously refine messaging and asset strategy.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in B2B product marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven success in launching and scaling products in matrixed, global organizations
- Deep expertise in product positioning, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategy
- Strong analytical mindset with experience managing product adoption, win/loss, and sales enablement impact
- Experience in regulated industries is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional European languages preferred
