Job Mission
As an Electronics Technician you will assemble, integrate and qualify electronic and mechanical assemblies in accordance with established specifications and ASML (quality) guidelines. Own execution of the operational processes / activities in order to ensure on-time manufacturing and delivery of ASML products that meet the customer's expectations. Acts as a content expert to team members and other colleagues/ stakeholders on problem analyses and solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform technical tasks following standard procedures, guidelines, and quality standards; promote quality awareness within the team.
  • Stays current with developments in your field, identify knowledge gaps, and share relevant product/process information with colleagues.
  • Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, tools, and ASML products; monitor quality throughout the build process and resolve non-routine customer queries.
  • Assist in introducing and validating new products/processes in production and logistics; provide feedback for practical improvements.
  • Plan, monitor, and execute manufacturing activities; troubleshoot technical issues and support prioritization and planning within established procedures.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards, conduct checks, report defects, and act as a role model for HS&E practices.
  • Identify and implement process optimizations to enhance product and operational performance.
  • Accurately record material and equipment transactions; prepare and deliver reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist less experienced colleagues, monitor team progress, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Vocational degree.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience.
  • Hands-on experience preferably with mechanical and electrical parts using precisions tools.
  • Knowledge of ASML-related technical processes.
  • Knowledge of Xpedient & Capital wiring diagram software.
  • Knowledge of specific connector types: (LEMO, Harting-Heavy duty, D-Sub, M12, BNC, SMB, Ethernet, RF etc.
  • Experience with PCB boards (0201, 402, 603, 804, and 1206s components, soldering & desoldering).
  • Experience with NX/TC.
  • IPC J-STD-001 & IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified.

Skills

  • Has practical and theoretical knowledge of specialized methods, procedures and processes acquired by advanced specialized skills training or relevant working experience.
  • Acts as a primary support delivering training on the job to Technicians up to JG05.
  • Has extensive experience and is responsible for implementation of process improvements.
  • Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders to align activities, planning and progress.
  • Works from instructions and handles exceptions on the basis of methods and precedents, is inventive in finding solutions and assists manager in prioritization and planning.
  • Drives recommended improvement actions and introduces the improvement into standard procedures/processes.
  • Works independently, focused on results and sets own work order, based on own judgment.
  • Ability to identify complex technical issues and deviations and provides and communicates solutions.
  • Oversees the effect of a problem, takes it into account and escalates it effectively.
  • Contributes to solving technical issues and improvement initiatives in product or manufacturing process related to own area of expertise.

Other Information

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

The current base annual hourly range for this role is currently:

$34.98-58.29

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
