Job Purpose

The Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the PMO's mission to standardize project delivery and ensure all capital projects adhere to established processes, regulatory requirements, and governance standards. This role will conduct project compliance reviews, track adherence to the Project Delivery Framework, and partner with project managers to drive consistency, accountability, and performance across the Capital Delivery Project Team.

The Compliance Analyst will help safeguard reliability, safety, and regulatory alignment while enabling efficient, predictable project execution for the National Grid.

Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct project compliance reviews, audits, and health checks across all stages of the Project Delivery Framework.
  • Ensure projects follow standardized templates, workflows, and stage-gate requirements.
  • Monitor alignment with internal governance policies, regulatory filing requirements, and utility operating standards.
  • Track and report on project compliance, identifying gaps, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Support the rollout of new or updated PMO standards and ensure accurate documentation is available and communicated.
  • Assist in ensuring the integrity and consistency of project records, approvals, and milestone documentation.
  • Prepare compliance dashboards and scorecards for leadership and PMs.
  • Gather, analyze, and validate data to measure adherence to governance standards.
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate risks arising from non-compliance or process deviations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure project delivery compliance expectations are clear and achieved.
  • Assist PMs during audits, stage-gate reviews, and governance submissions.
  • Provide guidance and training around PMO standards and documentation requirements.
  • Identify compliance-related risks within the project lifecycle and escalate as appropriate.
  • Monitor and track resolution of compliance issues and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives targeting process efficiency, quality, and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field required.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification preferred but not required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project governance, compliance, project coordination, audit, or utility operations.
  • Experience within the electric, or gas utility sector preferred.
  • Familiarity with PM methodologies, regulatory environments, and capital project processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate compliance objectively.
  • Excellent critical thinking, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Comfortable working in project management systems (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, SAP, Power BI.
