Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Technology Program Manager to lead different types of engagements including complex, enterprise-scale initiatives within our VCA Implementation Services team. This role is pivotal in driving technology programs that deliver innovative solutions and measurable business value across North America region.

As a Senior Technology Program Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, champion Agile practices, and manage delivery across multiple technology domains. What we expect of you, day to day:

Own end-to-end program delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations.

Proactively identify and remove impediments, enabling teams to deliver sustainable, high-quality outcomes.

Manage development and consultative engagements hands-on, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.

Communication & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients driving transparency and trust.

Champion modern Lean-Agile methodologies to optimize delivery, improve predictability and foster continuous improvement.

Develop effective relationships with the engaged parties - external and internal.

Translate business and technical areas into actionable project tasks and communicate independently to the leadership.

Engage in consultative engagements with the client with excellent Presentation skills

Work hands on creating documents including power-points, word and others for client sessions or internal alignment.

Ensuring requirements are at just the right level of detail to take into sprint, including functional & non-functional requirements.

Providing clear technical and managerial reviews regularly to the technical team and remove impediments from execution

Work closely with all key stakeholders to develop and track milestones, and coordinate moving pieces effectively and efficiently to stay on track.

Provide recurring progress/ status updates, including steerco updates, to internal and external stakeholders.

Proactively anticipate potential risks, create appropriate mitigation plans, and escalate issues, as necessary.

Manage and track monthly time utilization of vendor resources.

Participate, understand and action on technical areas to enable the tech team progress.

Doing what is needed to unblock the scrum teams during the sprint .

Reporting and managing operational delivery metrics.

Holding the team accountable for their delivery commitments and coaching continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

Core Expertise:

Strong background in program/project management, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.

Techno Functional experience in the Financial Services Domain

Preferred Agile certification (Scrum or equivalent).

Proven experience in Software release management in professional services setup

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge in some of the J2EE frameworks, RESTful APIs, cloud infrastructure, microservices, and distributed architectures.

Exposure to Artificial Intelligence led initiatives

Domain Knowledge:

Expertise in payments technology, in some or many of following areas money movement, dispute/pre-dispute, installments, workflow orchestration, and core banking solutions.

Prior experience in payment domain technology consulting is highly desirable.

Leadership & Communication:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present to diverse audiences.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 127,300 to 195,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
