Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an AI-Driven Vehicle Definition Intern to add to our Advance Design & Vehicle Performance team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with system engineers to ensure AI tools complement Commercial Vehicle ADAS, Electrification, and Connectivity projects.
  • Develop AI Agents for gathering Engineering Requirements, Scope Requests, and User Stories.
  • Define and implement KPIs for AI effectiveness, including accuracy, cycle time reduction, and usability.
  • Establish structured guidelines for prompt engineering tailored to vehicle integration workflows.
  • Document and share best practices for AI-human collaboration in engineering tasks.
  • Participate in data collection and preprocessing from vehicle integration tests to feed AI models.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs against engineering requirements and report discrepancies.
  • Research emerging AI technologies for vehicle integration challenges, such as sensor fusion and predictive maintenance.
Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related program.
