What you'll do:

As a full-time Optometrist, you'll practice full-scope optometry, providing exceptional patient care and promoting eye health through patient education. You'll utilize advanced diagnostic and clinical technology, including the phoropter, slit lamp, ophthalmoscope, autorefractor/keratometer, optical coherence tomography (OCT), retinoscope, tonometer, trial lens set and frame, and Optos for comprehensive eye exams and health management. You'll also utilize Visual Fields technology. You can expect to see up to 22 patients per day, managing a well-established patient base. You'll be supported by a dedicated team of 9 long-tenured employees who are proficient in all aspects of the practice, fostering a healthy and friendly practice environment.

You're a motivated and energetic professional passionate about delivering best-in-class, patient-centric care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a high degree of attention to detail. You must also be empathetic and patient, able to make patients feel comfortable and explain complex information clearly. Other key traits include dexterity for tasks such as lens fittings, strong organization, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional ethics. This role requires motivation to support practice goals, focusing on integrating advanced technology, providing patient-centric care, and expanding service offerings, while embracing future goals of leveraging AI for early disease detection and implementing telemedicine for personalized, efficient eye care, especially in areas such as myopia management and ocular wellness. Candidates must hold a current or pending OD license in Texas. The practice offers competitive compensation and a 14.5% production bonus. New

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
