Number of Position(s): 2 Duration: 10 weeks Date: June 1 - August 7, 2026 Location: On-site, in Murray Hill, New Jersey. EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited school in the United States. As a part of our team, you will be involved in the following key activities: Design next-generation (6G and beyond) systems based on 3GPP, AI-RAN, and O-RAN architectures. Apply machine learning techniques to optimize cellular network performance. Develop service-aware and network-application co-optimization solutions for beyond-connectivity use cases. Implement innovative algorithms and prototypes in real-world systems such as OpenAirInterface. Perform hands-on testing, validation, and performance benchmarking in lab environments. Document findings through publications at top-tier venues and contributions to patents. One or more of the following must-have skill-sets: Deep expertise in 3GPP architectures, protocol layers, and interfaces, with hands-on systems implementation experience. Strong background in applying AI/ML techniques to network optimization, control, or management. Established publication record demonstrating impactful research contributions. It would be nice if you also had: Proven research experience with measurable results and contributions to advanced wireless systems.
