The Part Time Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel's overnight operations while providing exceptional guest service at the Homewood Suites Daytona Beach Speedway-Airport. This position ensures the accuracy of daily financial transactions, maintains hotel safety and security throughout the night, and performs all front desk functions with professionalism and efficiency. The Night Auditor works independently, supports late-night guest needs, and upholds Hilton and Shaner Hotel Group service standards.

Responsibilities Guest Service & Front Desk Operations



  • Provide welcoming, attentive, and professional service to all guests during overnight hours.
  • Process check ins, check outs, early departures, extensions, room moves, and reservations according to Hilton brand standards.
  • Address guest questions, concerns, special requests, or complaints promptly to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Maintain lobby presence and ensure a clean, organized, and safe front desk and public space.
  • Assist with wake up calls, transportation arrangements, luggage needs, and general hotel information.



Financial & Audit Duties



  • Balance all daily guest and non guest charges, room revenue, payments, and adjustments for accuracy.
  • Complete nightly audit procedures according to Hilton and Shaner Hotel Group policies.
  • Reconcile and verify credit card transactions and cash deposits.
  • Generate, print, and distribute all required daily reports to designated managers and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, credit card security, and end-of-day closing procedures.



Safety, Security, and Overnight Oversight



  • Conduct routine property walks to ensure guest safety, property cleanliness, and building security.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access points to maintain a secure environment.
  • Follow all emergency procedures and respond promptly to any incidents, disturbances, or guest concerns.
  • Maintain communication with on-call hotel leadership for any urgent matters.



Additional Responsibilities



  • Assist with stocking supplies, organizing materials, and maintaining front office inventory.
  • Keep detailed notes and handoff information for morning shift and management.
  • Support housekeeping or maintenance with simple overnight tasks when required (towels, amenities, light requests).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience; hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to assist guests, coworkers, and management effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Hilton PEP PMS is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions during overnight hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash, financial postings, and reporting.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of local Daytona Beach attractions, events, and demand generators is beneficial.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working two overnight shifts per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
