Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Vice President of Builder Development to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Lakeville, MN. This position will be on-site at our Lakeville office. We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. Overview
This role is a strategic leader,responsible for driving growth by strengthening partnerships with builders at all levels.It willleadthe evolution of the geographically distributed US sales force by designing an innovative organizational structure, standardized processes, and systems that unlock performance and accelerate market expansion. Success requires a visionary, collaborative sales executive who can develop and execute transformative growth strategies, align the sales team, and deliver exceptional results in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, lead, and drive the builder sales strategy and execution within the Fireplacebusinessunit, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and ambitious growth objectives
  • Develop deep expertise in the housing market, understanding the evolving needs and challenges ofconsumers andbuilder partners to shape innovative and effective sales approaches
  • Cultivate a culture of high standards by fostering leadership and sales behaviors that emphasize winning, accountability, customer focus, collaboration, sales excellence, and data-driven decision making
  • Build and maintain strategic cross-functional partnerships and align organizational priorities at every levelto driveunit growthand share of the top national, regional and local builderswith strongpartnershipsacrossourbroaderchannelsales team
  • Establish and grow trusted, high-impact relationships with builderswith the aimof ensuringbuilders recommend a fireplace in every hometo fuel sustainable market expansion
  • Develop and refine processes that generate and convertleadsefficiently, driving operational excellence and scalable growth
  • Design and implement rigorousKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)and accountability frameworks that promote focus, empower sales teams, and achieve consistent top-tier results
  • Lead as a leader of leaders-mentoring and developing sales managers to build a motivated, high-performing, and empowered sales organization
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 15 or more years of relevant sales experience including Business to Business (B2B) selling/account management and navigating complexorganizations
  • 35-50% travel expectations, with peak travel expected in the first year
  • 7 or more years direct people management, as a leader of leaders, with experience in succession and talent planning
  • Expert change agent with strong sense of urgency, who challenges current ways of working and has led transformational change, driven by strong strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Exhibits exceptional all-around results orientation and business acumen demonstrating financial storytelling skills, translating complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions
  • Successful management of large, complex sales organizations; prior responsibility overseeing multiple sales organizations/channels/silos within a business to align all selling efforts with overall strategic vision and goals
  • Demonstrated success in driving a culture of continuous learning, designing employee and team development tactics and driving employee growth and succession planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in the building industry, hearth products or related products experience
  • Experience in the new construction industry calling on home builders
