Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in conducting both in vivo and in vitro electrophysiological recordings, including measuring neuronal ion currents and muscle endplate potentials, as well as analyzing and interpreting complex electrophysiological data.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform in vivo and in vitro electrophysiological experiments, including ion current recordings from neurons and muscle endplate potential measurements.

* Analyze, interpret, and present electrophysiological data using appropriate statistical methods.

* Conduct rodent behavioral experiments and perform brain stereotaxic injections as needed.

* Utilize optogenetic tools and multi-channel physiological recording technologies.

* Perform isolated heart perfusion pressure measurements.

* Execute molecular biology assays, such as Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and RNAscope.

* Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.

* Prepare high-quality written reports, documentation, and scientific communications; effectively communicate findings verbally.

Shift Type: M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master in Medicine or Bachelor in Science

Years of Experience: More than 5 years of experience in physiology research

Niche Professional Interests: Interest in neural mechanisms of diseases including cardiovascular and neurological disorders.

Additional Training: In vivo and In vitro electrophysiology recordings in rodents

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range:$52,915.20-$59,000.00

Grade: GGS-9E
