ABX DIR HUMAN RESOURCES

SUMMARY: The Director of Human Resources strategically leads the company's Human Resources operations. This role aligns recruitment, training, compliance, and compensation practices with overall business objectives to create a motivated and compliant workforce.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee and direct overall strategy and ensure processes support the company's mission
* Manage recruiting and staffing practices to attract and retain top talent
* Oversee employee development, performance management, and succession planning
* Ensure regulatory compliance and develop policies that guide operations
* Foster positive employee relations and address conflicts effectively
* Design and administer competitive compensation packages, including workers compensation, pension, and 401(k) plans

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* This role oversees the Human Resources Department

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related area
* 10+ years' experience of increasing responsibility in Human Resources leadership positions
* Labor relations experience
* Extensive knowledge of health & welfare
* Extensive knowledge of pension plans
* Extensive knowledge of 401(k) administration
* Familiarity and understanding of employment laws and regulations including the Railway Labor Act, EEO, Affirmative Action, ERISA, FMLA, USERRA, wage and hour laws, workplace health & safety and workers compensation
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED:
* Master's Degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Development
* SPHR certification
* Financial and accounting knowledge a plus
