Current Need

The McKesson Human Resources department is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Organization Effectiveness & Change Leadership (Org & Change) Team. This position may be located at the Las Colinas, Texas office which serves as one of our HR Hubs. The candidate must operate as a strong team player, leveraging relationships, collaboration, and business expertise. Communications expertise, meticulous organization skills, and responsiveness are critical skills. The role will independently own Org & Change delivery for significant McKesson business units in partnership with Senior Executives across both the business and HR.

Position Description

This role is responsible for consulting with leaders and teams to provide customized and practical change management solutions (e.g. communications, reference resources, tools and easy to comprehend materials) to enable adoption of organization, process and technology changes. The incumbent will provide strategic planning and execution for change management, organization design and organization effectiveness solutions, leveraging Center of Excellence resources and methodology as appropriate.

  • Understand and document the organizational and operating model impacts of implementing various initiatives, aligning the right structure, cultural context, and practices to drive employee adoption

  • Synthesize change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and change readiness assessments for large-scale technology transformations across all 5 workstreams and Acceleration Management Office functions, identifying top priorities and needs at the program level

  • Independently manage the SharePoint site regular updates and messaging to ensure stakeholders have access to and comprehend current information

  • Host weekly engagement sessions to facilitate an information cascade across all application owners, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment

  • Help teams articulate the 'so what' and impact of the work they are doing, translating complex initiatives into meaningful business outcomes on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Send weekly communications to large audiences around progress and asks, maintaining transparency and driving engagement

  • Craft quarterly newsletter to MT organization, highlighting team's accomplishments, individual achievements, and key activity to celebrate success and maintain momentum

  • Manage and adapt process for updates, communication, and engagement with application managers to ensure adoption and understanding of asks

  • Establish and facilitate change agent/ people leader networks focused on measuring the impact of change and driving adoption

  • Work within a matrixed, cross-functional team to design, develop and rollout an impactful campaign and communications strategy and approach to drive adoption

  • Partner with colleagues across all portfolios to drive understanding of the scope and impacts of initiatives, and collaborate on increasing adoption and commitment

  • Coach and support business leaders on the execution of change management

  • Participate in development and delivery of learning solutions, templates and tools, etc. for change management

  • Manage external vendors, as needed, to develop programs to develop and sustain the organization's capacity for change

This role will also support organization design, process design, and other workforce transformation or transition activities required to successfully achieve the desired project or program outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years relevant experience.

  • Change management: demonstrated experience in articulating the business case for change, evaluating change readiness, building and executing stakeholder plans and transition activities, and managing sustained change and transition

  • Capability & culture builder: skilled at identifying and assessing current organizational capabilities, building what's required, shaping and supporting culture, and aligning organizational programs to reinforce culture

  • Consulting skills: able to tailor his/her communication style to work well with stakeholders at all levels in the organization; effective at listening, influencing, facilitating, and problem solving

  • Leveraging data and technology: Able to effectively identify, utilize and present data in a way that facilitates evidence-based decision-making.

  • Deliver outcomes in the face of ambiguity: ability to bring definition and identify next steps when encountering ambiguous requests or navigating complex environments

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with supporting functions through enterprise transformation efforts required

  • Organizational Development/Design/Effectiveness/Operating Model experience preferred

  • Change management experience

  • Experience in a large, complex, matrixed organization preferred

  • Expertise in Microsoft office (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel)

Education

4-year degree in change management, human resources, psychology, business or related field or equivalent experience, master's degree preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$113,800 - $189,600
