The Sr. Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for several aspects of managing customer demands across our national network and programs. The person in this role is expected to utilize technology to modernize the legacy processes to better serve our customers. This position will be focused on partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and become a subject matter expert for execution of customer shifts of volume between SKUs/DCs and execute those shifts within our purchasing platform.

  • Execute our technology modernization journey by identifying opportunities for improvement, prioritizing them and executing them. Being able to articulate prioritization based on benefits such as increased efficiency, cost savings or improved customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with our sourcing partnering when it comes to inventory management across our proprietary programs.

  • Become a subject matter expert on our data sets and execute on utilizing technology to advance the Demand Planning initiatives.

  • Lead and manage projects by defining scope, assigning tasks, and taking full ownership of outcomes. Ensure timely delivery of assigned project milestones with minimal guidance from management.

  • Provide guidance and training to team members and clients to support skill development, knowledge sharing, and overall team effectiveness.

  • Develop and manage advanced, standardized, and ad-hoc reporting and analysis by accessing and integrating data from multiple sources. Build reports using multiple data sets with simple variables and manage outputs from complex reports. Utilize Microsoft Office tools-including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint-for data visualization, chart creation, and presentation development. Support basic Business Objects query development.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year degree or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills

  • 5+years' experiencein areas such assupply chain,product management,purchasing, marketing/sales, or finance, inclusive of 2+ years' experience in supply chain

  • Database & Querying: Basic knowledge of SQL, Business Objects query development, and Power BI.

  • Performance Metrics: Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and other performance indicators.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Training & Mentorship: Experience providing guidance and training to peers and clients to support skill development and knowledge transfer.

  • Presentation Skills: Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations using PowerPoint and data visualizations.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Customer & Demand Management: Proven experience in managing customer relationships, demand planning, and service level expectations.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex issues and develop actionable solutions.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in analyzing large amounts of data to identify trends and insights; experience with tools such as Excel, Access, and Business Objects.

  • Process Improvement: Ability to evaluate current processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve customer satisfaction.

  • Project Management: Skilled in leading projects, defining scope, assigning tasks, and delivering results with minimal oversight.

  • Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to mediate issues, present findings, and train both internal teams and clients.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$99,200 - $165,400
