As a Trex Manufacturing & Operations Financial Analysis Manager, you will be responsible for providing advanced operational and financial analysis to support production efficiency, cost performance, and strategic decision-making. This role reviews operational forecasts, evaluates actual manufacturing results, and delivers insights that drive continuous improvement across production, supply chain, and cost management. The manager partners closely with plant leadership, supply chain, finance, engineering, and corporate leadership to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accountability around key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational outcomes.

  • Forecasting & Planning

    • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual manufacturing financials to aid in forecasts including volume, labor, overhead, yields, scrap, and absorption.
    • Build and maintain models to project operational performance under multiple production and cost scenarios.
    • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to validate assumptions and align forecast inputs.
    • Support annual operating financial plans and long-range planning processes for all manufacturing locations.
    • Prepare bridge analyses that clearly explain financial forecast-to-forecast and forecast-to-plan variances.


  • Operational & Financial Analysis

    • Analyze actual manufacturing results including productivity, material usage, downtime, labor efficiency, machine utilization, and OEE.
    • Deliver monthly financial KPI reporting packages with clear commentary and recommendations.
    • Perform variance analysis on production costs, inventory, and plant performance.
    • Investigate root causes of unfavorable trends and partner on corrective actions.
    • Monitor and analyze inventory accuracy, production variances, waste, and yield.
    • Evaluate cost impacts of engineering changes, process improvements, and capital projects.


  • Leadership & Business Partnership

    • Serve as a key advisor to plant and corporate leadership.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
    • Mentor analysts or junior team members.
    • Build strong relationships across operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance.


  • Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Expert in Excel, data modeling, and reporting tools (OneStream).
    • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards).
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to drive process improvements and manage multiple priorities.

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of accounting & finance professionals.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with 5-8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations analysis, FP&A, or plant finance and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience with multi-site manufacturing experience

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 annually

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
