TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Power BI Business Analyst who will work as a liaison between customers and subject matter expert in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements and business processes. Prepares and/or maintains detailed documentation pertaining to programming, systems operations, and requirements. Translates business specifications into the programmer, data scientist, and end-user documentation. Achieves and maintains subject matter expertise relevant to functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications with Microsoft Power Apps to meet business requirements and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into functional solutions.
  • Design, test, and deploy applications incorporating user interfaces, workflows, and data integrations.
  • Ensure applications are efficient, scalable, and offer a user-friendly experience.
  • Maintain, update, and support Power Apps applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power Apps applications and integrations.
  • Contribute to supporting multiple development efforts. Leverage customer expertise and team member contributions to juggle multiple priorities on parallel projects.
  • Responsible for creating/updating documents required as part of an agile system development life-cycle including user stories, detailed functional specifications, technical design input, process documents (such as SOP's, guidelines, and validation master plans), etc.
  • Analyze, design, implement and support IT business applications and systems in close collaboration with customers, users and project leads.
  • Develop functional and non-functional testable business requirements/user stories.
  • Coordinate with the technical development team to ensure complete understanding of functional specifications.
  • Assist with development of education & outreach materials including user guides and other external communications.

Qualifications

  • 10 yrs relevant experience in:

    o IT Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

    o Service Supplier/Vendor management.

    o IT Service Management (ITSM).

    o ITIL framework.

    o Process mapping.

    o Functional Decomposition of IT O&M functions.

    o Identify and Assess Direct and Indirect O&M activities.

  • Experience in comprehending business needs, solving complex problems, and capturing business requirements to convert them into technical requirements.
  • Experience working with developers to translate business needs into user stories.
  • Experience with Agile delivery programs.
  • Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, act independently and exercise an expert level of decision-making capability.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce polished written products.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Access.
  • Proven experience in Power BI development, including dashboard creation and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles.
  • Experience integrating Power BI with SharePoint, Dataverse, and other low-code platforms (e.g., Pega, Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with 508 Compliance standards and test automation (DDSO).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a joint operational framework (e.g., with SAIC and Tria/Softrams).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Knowledge of Azure services and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with configuration and release management processes (CM/RM).
  • Power BI certification is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelors of Science degree or a related scientific or technical discipline.

Location

  • Remote, USA.

Pay Range:

  • The suggested pay for this position ranges from $38,145 to $70,625.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
