Contributes to successful facilities engineering activities across the company by supporting facilities and operations engineers across the company. This position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to support asset teams in designing, planning, supervising, maintaining, and operating facilities across the company. Responsible for the effectiveness of the facilities engineering disciplines within the organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provides teams with recruiting, training, mentoring, and development for Facilities Engineers.
- Assists with performance management and development plans. Conducts routine coaching and mentoring sessions with teams to review performance and ensure progress on the development plans.
- Provide regular visible leadership at design reviews, PHAs, AFE presentations, and on-site work.
- Assists leadership with talent rotations and development opportunities across teams as needed.
- Provide project support & guidance from conception to execution as needed.
- Participate in incident investigations, and other safety related functions as needed.
- Work closely with leadership to accomplish team goals.
- Connect internal and external resources to provide support and guidance to complex projects.
- Support teams in upholding minimum standards for drawings, work packages, cost estimates, safety that are in line with industry codes & recommended practices as well as applicable local, state, or federal regulations.
- Oversee the design, planning, supervision, and execution of facilities projects across the company as needed.
- Support engineers and actively participate in full cycle scoping, conceptual design, detailed design, cost estimating and economic analysis for projects.
- Assist teams in ensuring safe and effective designs.
- Manages employees as assigned as well as performs the engineering function.
- Provides technical guidance on complex facilities engineering projects.
- A senior expert in facilities engineering responsible for developing and/or researching new techniques and designs.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of oil and gas facility engineering experience, preferred 15+ years of experience.
- Preferred 5+ years in process engineering related roles.
- Strong leadership presence and skills.
- Proven to successfully mentor and coach.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple surface engineering disciplines.
- Advanced level of proficiency in PHAs, HAZANs, MOCs, incident investigations, and PSM facilities.
- Ability to solve problems accurately.Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Thorough understanding of equipment design, fabrication, and installation practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding management, administrative and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and State and Federal regulations for oil and gas facilities, including familiarity with North Slope oil & gas operations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
- Valid Driver's License and driving record free of violations in order for company to secure automobile insurance for the employees.
Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor's of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited four-year university or college.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid State Driver's License.
