Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Construction Superintendent

Play an integral role in guiding safe, efficient, and high-quality construction execution across a diverse portfolio of Capital and O&M projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you join a collaborative team that values clear communication, technical excellence, and practical leadership. You help create an environment where people work safely, solve problems together, and deliver results the right way-every time.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You are responsible for leading day-to-day construction oversight and ensuring all on-site contractor activities align with project designs, specifications, and quality requirements. You serve as a key connection point between Project Management, Engineering, and field execution, helping to plan, coordinate, and verify all aspects of piping layout, construction progress, and material control.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Engineering to set up piping design layouts and support constructability planning.
  • Develop Bills of Material (BOMs) and perform accurate material takeoffs to support efficient project execution.
  • Oversee all daily construction activities performed by contractors, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, safety expectations, and issued materials.
  • Verify materials received and issued to the field, ensuring all documentation-such as MTRs, welder IDs, and pipe lengths-is properly logged on IFC drawings to support quality and as-built records.
  • Support Quality Assurance activities, including weld inspection coordination; CWI or piping experience is strongly preferred.
  • Track and monitor material availability, usage, and documentation throughout each project cycle.
  • Participate in weekly Safety meetings, reinforce safe work practices, and maintain visible leadership in the field.
  • Assist team members with day-to-day tasks and provide practical field guidance when needed.
  • Maintain a consistent work schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with rotating overtime or weekend coverage when contractors are working extended hours.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications, which may include forklift operation and Operator Qualifications (OQ) through EWN.

  • A practical, solution-oriented approach to construction challenges and material control.
  • A commitment to safety leadership and the confidence to coach, redirect, and support safe behaviors.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and contractor groups.
