Patterson-UTI Drilling **THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION ** The Technician, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM Tech) reports to the Equipment and Yard Supervisor and is an Oracle specialist focusing on specific modules within the Oracle E-Business Suite of programs. The EAM Tech will provide technical expertise, records management, and data processing to support Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and @hand maintenances systems as well as the other Oracle E-Business Suite modules. The EAM Tech will also periodically travel to yard or field locations to gather or validate information or conduct EAM-related training with field personnel. Detailed Description
- Coordinate the transfer of all material and equipment to designated work areas using Oracle EAM and @hand software; accurately update records to document action
- Collect and upload all photos and pertinent documents for capital assets and other critical inventory certifications
- Compile Planned Inventory and Connectivity reports as well as other asset reports and records
- Complete asset inventories at the rig-up yard and third-party locations; research and reconcile errors and anomalies
- Release work orders, complete and close work orders with supporting documentation
- Utilize record keeping and reporting process to identify existing assets without identification tagging numbers
- Verify physical receipt of new orders, match and receive in the purchasing system
- Research and provide receipt and location commentary on project invoices
- Request asset numbers for newly purchased assets and track and reports on progress of labeling and tagging assets
- Modify EAM equipment records as required or requested
- Update and report on EAM maintenance records, meters and documents
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the application

- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding work related information and materials
- Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas
- Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
- See clearly and judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch for and report ongoing work activities involving coworkers and third parties
- Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems
- Accurately recall information over short and long-term memory
- Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects
- Stay alert and remain focused even during occasional extended work periods
- Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give, and follow directions
- Proficiency with written and email communication including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and comfort navigating through different software applications.
- Maintain Forklift and Manlift certification
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent education
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with manufacturing and repair systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Experience in Oracle system(s)
- Possess basic knowledge of drilling equipment
- Previous EAM Technician experience
- Basic knowledge of rig components (i.e. engines, draw works, mud pumps, top drives)
Additional Details This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The EAM Tech will be occasionally exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. The EAM Tech must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations. They must be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.
