Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Journey Wireperson General Foreman who installs, maintains and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The Journey Wireperson Foreman will also ensure that work is completed in accordance with relevant codes. Ziegler is looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented person who is willing to learn and assist with general maintenance in addition to the duties of a Journey Wireperson.
Responsibilities:
Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components using hand and power tools and in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations Ability to pull permits for the company Installs new electrical service /install electrical panels, switchgear as well as performing preventive maintenance on the same Directs and trains workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations Uses a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components Assists or leads electrical projects of larger scope such as new construction installs Assist with low voltage system maintenance and projects including voice and data and security and fire alarm systems Performs preventive maintenance on building systems, including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, exterior building repairs and cement replacements Assist with seasonal preventative maintenance walkthroughs of facilities to determine potential repairs needed File reports or log requests for preventative maintenance performed and any significantly required repair or replacement work Respond to phone requests regarding general maintenance, HVAC, lighting, low voltage systems, alarms and plumbing concerns from maintenance management, branch managers, and service staff
Qualifications:
Licensed Master Electrician High school degree required, Associate's degree preferred 3-5 years electrical experience strongly preferred Safety knowledge of electrical jobs required Supervisory experience a plus Knowledge of a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment; measuring devices; power tools; and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps Available for on-call emergencies Must have or maintain a clean driving record, Class A or B license a plus Highly motivated and hard worker This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement Personal Attributes: Attention to Detail, Efficiency, Problem Solving, Commitment/Dependability, Planning and Organization
Travel: Up to 50% travel within our territory Minimum Physical Requirements:
Push/pull up to 25 lbs Lift/carry up to 50 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, fingering/grasping - able to use a bolt box. Able to drive long distances (within Ziegler territory primarily) Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.

The pay range for this position is $44.80 to $55.99
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
