Clinical Review Pharmacist

Acara Solutions is seeking a Clinical Review Pharmacist to support the Pharmacy Prior Authorization Manager in all aspects of formulary management. In this role, you will help oversee the prior authorization process, manage growth hormone cases, support utilization review reporting, and participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee activities. You will also collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and internal staff to ensure clear communication of departmental policies and procedures.

Location: Hybrid schedule, 2 days onsite required in Williamsville, NY!

Pay: $50
Hours: 8:00-4:00pm

Duration: 3 to 6 months
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required and active New York State pharmacist license is required
  • Five (5) years of pharmacy experience required; experience providing direct pharmaceutical care is preferred.
  • Strong PC and Windows competency required; proficiency with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Solid and current clinical knowledge base, maintained through ongoing education and professional involvement, strong understanding of pharmaceutical managed care issues.
  • Thorough understanding of the prior authorization process.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures necessary to administer pharmacy benefits accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
