The High Mileage Test (HMT) organization is currently seeking a talented engineer to function as a Fleet Engineer and be responsible for planning and ensuring first class quality of North America produced and commercialized vehicles running at local and international locations. The High Mileage Test (HMT) Fleet Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited:
- High Mileage Test (HMT) Fleet Ordering
- Ordering the correct Sales Code configuration to maximize exposure to new features & variants.
- Communicate and align with Employee fleet custodians and Customer Experience (CX) team members
- Track Customer Experience (CX) fleet delivery status and facilitate elimination of delays and waste.
- Systems: IPTBS
- HMT Fleet KPI Management
- Process 4-Panel data, summarize and share with relevant team members. This includes: Distance Accumulation, New Issue Discovery Rate (NIDR3), Infotainment and Unique Diagnostic Trouble Codes (UDTC)s
- Oversee test execution progress of a given fleet.
- Participate in alignment meetings with Engineering and functional teams.
- Share reports with regional and global teams.
- Evaluate the risk of the program as it evolves during the different milestones.
- Escalate launch gating issues that will compromise start of production
- Systems: Excel, Proving Grounds Test Internal System (PGTIS), Issue Disposition System (IDS), Global Issue Management (GIM), Qualifier, QuickBase
Basic Qualifications
- English written & spoken communication skills, including presenting to various types of audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or proven experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a product development position, product quality, or reliability engineering.
- Experience working with or leading diverse teams (e.g. global, cross-functional).
- A basic understanding (minimum) of vehicle powertrain and driveline systems, electronic systems and components and their functions. And Stellantis portfolio and price classes
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Computing skills covering standard office software and collaboration systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality or Reliability Engineer.
- Design for Six Sigma or Robust Engineering certification (Black Belt, Green Belt).
- Familiarity with quality measurement methodology, warranty analysis, and third party metrics (Consumer Reports, J.D. Power).
- MS Excel Marco development and integration with data analysis databases (QuickBase, PowerBI, Snowflake, etc)
