RAPP Chicago is looking for a Freelance - Assistant Account Executive to join our award-winning Account Leadership team.

YOUR ROLE:

The Assistant Account Executive is an entry-level position for those seeking a career in marketing. You will perform professional administrative tasks in order to support the delivery of great work and service to the client, consistently and efficiently. You must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to learn the client's business, agency operations and office procedures. You are responsible for supporting all of the day-to-day account coordinating activities, and you will partner with the account leadership team to ensure that all client initiatives are executed precisely and flawlessly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide administrative assistance to the account leadership team members.
  • Assist account leadership team members prepare for internal and client meetings, which includes managing calendars, greeting clients upon arrival (for in-person meetings), coordinating with facilities management and enabling conference technology.
  • Learn and understand the function and responsibilities of the account leadership team and the role and responsibilities of an Assistant Account Executive
  • Learn and understand the role and responsibility of cross-discipline teams such as Project Management, Strategy, Marketing Science, Finance, Technology.
  • Onboard and learn the client's business, their team structure, business goals and challenges, and how account leadership partners with them.
  • Create and maintain project status reports, meeting notes for all internal and client meetings and a variety of other project as assigned.
  • Coordinate and communicate project details to appropriate team members.
  • Interface with client as deemed appropriate by manager.
  • Attend skills trainings provided by RAPP or as assigned by manager or leadership.


REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Prior internship in marketing or advertising agency setting, a plus.
  • Experience in technology, a plus.
  • Experience in SMS and/or email campaigns, a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant productivity tools.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written skills.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the importance of teamwork and building rapport with others.
  • Recognition of the importance of working to a professional standard.
  • Fun, team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Calm and focused under pressure and can skillfully manage a high volume of work.

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
