Job Description

As part of the Performance Nutrition Department, the Associate - Performance Nutrition (PN) will support Minor League players in the Arizona Complex League and remotely manage food service needs for (1) affiliate during the MiLB season. Working under the MiLB PN Coordinator and alongside the PN Assistant, this entry-level role delivers daily nutrition support to enhance player health and performance through nutrition education and counseling.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    Attend ACL games on a rotating schedule with the PN Assistant to provide in-dugout fueling and hydration support; prepare, organize, and transport required nutrition and hydration items for home and away games.
  • Coordinate pre and post-game meals, both at home and on the road, that align with health and performance guidelines for (1) assigned affiliate and manage associated budget tracking and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with individual nutrition screenings and assessments; provide nutrition education and counseling, and support players with the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Collaborate with the Arizona-based medical, strength, mental performance, and sports science departments to deliver integrated player care.
  • Conduct weekly inventory of complex supplements and nutrition-related products. Assist with storage, stocking, and providing education on safe and effective supplementation practices.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in professional baseball or collegiate sports with the ability to work a non-standard work week. Registered Dietician certification is required. Fluency in Spanish highly preferred. Master's degree in a related field preferred. This position is based out of the Arizona Spring Training facility in Phoenix, AZ and will require attendance at Minor League Spring Training.
