Location: Onsite - Orlando, FL

Reports To: Corporate Accounting Manager

Your Role at Acousti

This role is responsible for the processing of invoices and payments a selection of branches from the corporate office. This role assists the corporate AP team in making timely and accurate payments, maintains vendor relationships, communicates with their branch(es) maintaining accurate records, works with their branch(es) to ensure invoices are being processed timely and supports the overall performance of the Corporate Accounting team. You will assist the broader accounting team in ensuring smooth financial workflows and contributing to the integrity of our accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Verify, review, and process invoices, check requests, and expense reports. Converting from PO's when applicable. Process and audit Expense reimbursements for their respective branch(es) in both Sage intact and Miter. Verify tax is calculated correctly and making adjustments or posting use tax as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with their respective branch(es) team to maintain PO/invoice approval workflows, address discrepancies and process subcontractor PO's and pay applications.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and issues. Maintain vendor account information for accuracy.
  • Communication: Responds to emails within 24 hours. Keeps an open and professional line of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Payment Processing: Making sure critical funding issues required by their branch(es) are addressed on the weekly CFR report.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Review assigned vendor statements to ensure accounts match.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Support: Assist with month-end closing and year-end audit processes. Provide feedback and suggestions towards process improvements. Assist, as needed, with ad-hoc reports, tasks or other miscellaneous needs from the management team.

What We're Looking for in You

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting support
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle), intermediate Excel skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction industry accounting
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar ERP platforms
