Summary Medical AssistantJob Description: Medical Assistant - Women's Diagnostic Center Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift | 40 Hours/Week We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our Women's Diagnostic Center. This role assists biopsy technologists during ultrasound-guided procedures, prepares patients, and explains consent forms and biopsy processes. Responsibilities include scheduling patients, maintaining medical records, and managing pathology workflows. Key duties include printing biopsy schedules, preparing documentation, retrieving pathology reports, and ensuring radiologist review before communicating results. You will coordinate surgical appointments for patients with positive biopsies, complete film request forms, and enter pathology data into Magview and EPIC. This position plays a vital role in delivering compassionate care and exceeding patient expectations. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting, LPN, or RN Program. Must achieve certification from an approved institution (AAMA, AMT or NCCT) within 1 year of employment. Computer skills preferred. Basic Life Support (CPR) and other advanced training as appropriate.
