Baptist Health Louisville Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking to hire a full time, Reproductive Imaging Center Sonographer. The Ultrasound Sonographer provides diagnostic healthcare services using ultrasound technology to support physicians in the care of high-risk obstetric patients. This role requires expertise in performing detailed fetal anatomic surveys, fetal echocardiography with cardiac Doppler measurements (including PR Interval, Tricuspid and Mitral valves), and Doppler assessments of arterial and venous vessels (MCA, UA, DV), as well as nuchal translucency and fetal growth evaluations. The sonographer conducts routine and complex exams following AIUM protocols, ensures patient comfort through proper positioning and ergonomics, and adheres to ALARA principles to minimize acoustic exposure. Responsibilities include reviewing patient medical histories, labs, and prior imaging, communicating effectively with patients and families, and assisting physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling. The role also involves documenting exam limitations, maintaining proficiency in hospital systems for order management and exam tracking, and ensuring equipment calibration and continuing education compliance. Sonographers prepare exam rooms and equipment in line with infection control and safety standards, maintain a clean and safe environment, and perform bedside exams using mobile equipment for patients with high BMI or emergent needs.

32 Hours Weekly, Full Time, Dayshift

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited Sonography program.

Currently registered thru ARDMS required. Newly graduated candidates will receive 90 days to obtain.

Nuchal Translucency certification required within one year of hire.

Current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
