Summary of the Job: About This Role: This role is on-site in Omaha, Nebraska. We are unable to sponsor at this time. No 3rd parties or agencies. Primary Responsibilities * Strategy: Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture, cloud and API strategies that support the bank's long-term objectives. Ensure that IT infrastructure and applications are scalable, reliable, and secure. * Enhance Architecture Practices: Lead the development of architecture practices to include technical and data architecture standards. Ensures our architecture practice is aligned to the needs of the organization. * Enhance Cloud Practices: Enhance best practices for cloud governance, automation, and optimization. * Support Solution Delivery: Facilitate a collaborative relationship across architecture community, product management and delivery teams. Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to leverage shared technologies, tools, and processes. * Cloud Solution Delivery: Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud environments. * Research Emerging Technology: Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies and industry trends that could affect business. Provides practical advice and best practices to take advantage of new, or emerging, opportunities and successfully deliver the expected business outcomes. * Lead Emerging Technology Experimentation: Lead pilot projects to assess their potential impact and feasibility for full-scale implementation. Ensure integration of new technologies with existing systems. * Portfolio Modernization and Roadmaps: Present gap analyses and/or IT investment roadmaps that reflect the status of the IT landscape, namely, its ability to contribute to future business capabilities. * API-First: Promote an API-first culture that supports digital transformation, interoperability, and external partnerships. The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Job Requirements Education * Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Experience * Candidates should have extensive technology leadership experience and a proven track record in IT, demonstrating accomplishments in architecture, technology innovation, or technology engineering. * Proven track record of developing and implementing technology solutions and architecture. * Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as AI, blockchain, cloud computing, and their applications. * Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture, business and IT principles and processes. * Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), service-oriented architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, inspire, and lead diverse teams. * Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. * Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level. Characteristics and Competencies * Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders. * Comfortable and experienced at working with business executives, and able to constructively challenge. * Highly collaborative and supportive of business and technology strategies. * Highly innovative with aptitude for foresight, systems thinking and design thinking. * Vendor- and technology-neutral - more interested in achieving targeted business outcomes. * Practical in approach to problem solving and decision making. * Balances the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.
