As a Security Guard - Access Control - Afternoon Shift in Woodway, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and managing visitor access within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence and routine patrols will help maintain order while you interact professionally with employees and guests. Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred, as you will utilize technology to document activities and communicate with your team.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or other security-related incidents.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by assisting with directions, answering questions, and communicating site policies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of access control activities, visitor logs, and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and assisting with evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
