As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a corrections location, you will conduct routine armed patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a corrections location while providing customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, including emergencies as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the location.
• Collaborate with staff and law enforcement personnel as required to address incidents and/or enforce location rules and regulations.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and document observations related to daily activities and events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• A valid armed guard card or license is required as per applicable laws and regulations.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
