Genesis10 is seeking a Project IT Architect for a 12-month contract position with our financial services client. The position will work onsite and is located in Minneapolis, MN.

Compensation: $90.00 - 100.00 per hour (W-2).

Responsibilities:

Develops high-level design for solutions. Develops artifacts to be used in downstream SDLC phases. Leads technical resources during the Detailed Design and Development phase, leading the team from design to solution deployment. Coordinates technical aspects of deployment, including hardware environments, certification, and software deployment.

Position Summary

The IT Architect is responsible for the technical alignment and quality of 4 to 5 projects in the Commercial Operations Group. The role designs solutions that are compliant with architectural standards and processes. The architect leads the technical implementation of solutions and delivery.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for solutions to satisfy business requirements.

2. Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of solution implementation, including application, database, security, and infrastructure deployment.

3. Adhere to architectural processes and standards and contribute to and develop new standard definitions when required.

4. Ensure high-quality delivered solutions with limited risk that can be seamlessly assimilated into operational support models.

5. Pursue solutions and operational enhancements, and innovation to provide continuous improvement.

6. Ensure regulatory and security compliance for new and existing solutions.

7. Work with vendors for service delivery and evaluation, and implement new technologies.

Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of work experience, preferably in a nationally or globally distributed organization.
  • 3+ years delivering enterprise technical solutions to meet business objectives.
  • 3+ Years developing technical solutions with stacks such as MEAN, LAMP, or Microsoft .NET
  • 3+ years SQL Server experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS) such as Oracle or MSQL
  • 3+ Years architecting end-to-end technical enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated Experience delivering technology solutions through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or FEAF is a plus.
  • Experience with Workflow management practices and tools a plus
  • Experience with Server & Network Configurations is a plus
  • Experience in the Energy or Utility Business is a plus
