As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Unarmed in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-driven location. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies for the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, using good judgment to address any concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or access.
• Follow all emergency response protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, or maintenance issues as observed during patrols.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and report potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
