Job Description




As a Security Officer Government Armed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your responsibilities. By maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service to all on site. You will interact with staff and visitors, respond to incidents, and uphold Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies tailored for government locations, while providing professional customer service.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including both interior and exterior sections of the location, to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any irregularities or suspicious activities to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and procedures for government settings.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed, following all applicable protocols and regulations.
  • Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as specific requirements for armed patrol positions in government environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
