As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Canal Winchester, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within manufacturing, industrial, and retail environments. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you remain visible and approachable. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service, building positive interactions with everyone you encounter. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to the needs of those on site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any irregularities, including property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within manufacturing, industrial, and retail/mall settings.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following location-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
