About this opportunity:

The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, including coordination of month, quarter, and year-end close activities. This role provides leadership to a team of accounting professionals and ensures timely, compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables to ensure timely financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities, providing required documentation, and addressing findings or recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for operational or process improvements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues using technical expertise, professional judgment, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to integrity and effective problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
