| Overview The Agency of Transportation's Contract Administration Bureau is seeking a motivated, detail-orientated professional to join our Grants Unit as a Contracts Specialist. This role will support more than 900 grants across 21 statewide programs each year, ensuring the efficient use of resources that keep Vermont's transportation system moving. The Specialist will prepare and assemble documents for Notice of Funding Opportunities through grant execution and assisting with grant financial monitoring responsibilities. The position is expected to maintain accurate data across multiple software systems and help ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. We are looking for an individual who brings strong organizational skills, the ability to move seamlessly between priorities, able to work independently and with a group setting. Excellent communication skills are a must. The work is challenging and rewarding, with a direct connection to improving the transportation services that Vermonters rely on every day. You'll be part of a collaborative environment where your contributions make an immediate and lasting impact on both the Agency's mission and the traveling public. This position requires a minimum of three days per week working in person in Barre, VT. Communication with contractors is present. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree or certificate program in contract administration, public administration, accounting, business management, legal, or related field. OR High school or equivalent AND one (1) year or more of experience at a technical level in contract administration or a related field.
