In the role of Assistant Marketing Manager, we'll count on you to:
  • Lead client and pursuit capture plans, proposals, and interview preparation either directly or by oversight and assistance of marketing coordinators
  • Manage reporting of marketing performance indicators - Ensure that the SNB, Hit Parade and marketing results are on time and up to date
  • Responsible for development, organization and production design of marketing materials, such as qualifications; proposals; correspondence; project documentation (both in narrative and graphic form); and CRM Management.
  • Collaborate in program and client strategy as well as client or industry research.
  • Independently evaluate and clarify RFQ/RFP requirements. Understand proposal strategy, develop the work plan and manage pursuit team to schedules. This will Involve frequent collaboration with internal staff across business lines to obtain materials/other information during project pursuits.
  • Able to write/edit proposal sections as needed.
  • Engage additional resources, graphic designers and technical writers, as needed, to implement HDR's brand throughout all materials.
  • Coordinate reprographics production/shipping schedules and compile/distributes submissions.
  • Assist in leading Transportation BG's QA/QC process
  • Assist with client assignments, tracking and follow-up
  • Represent Marketing Manager when required at internal and external client meetings and functions
  • May manage specific clients, programs or initiatives, prepare management reports, and monitor budgets.
  • Prioritize marketing activities and coordinate or assist with all Go/No Go analyses for the department
  • Collaborate with operations staff to prioritize business development efforts for opportunities that provide maximum return on investment
  • Participate in major pursuit proposal reviews, client feedback, problem resolution, acquisition integration, and client functions
  • Assist in monitoring marketing budgets and marketing hours charged by staff for the business group to maintain labor and expenses within the budget
  • Work with business group leadership to develop and manage annual strategic plans
  • Work with staff to implement key marketing initiatives
  • Assist Business Development and Market Sector Leadership, and client managers with client development
  • Assist staff to develop and implement vertical integration of a client at multiple levels
  • Participate in client debriefs for projects won and lost
  • Recommend and participate in industry association and civic affairs involvement
  • Supervise Marketing Coordinators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, MBA a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
  • Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person
  • Demonstrated experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry
  • Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
