The Manager - Distribution Reliability & Resiliency is a department leader with strong operational experience relating to the management and maintenance of electric distribution system rights-of-way, construction, inspections, and service. Primary role is to oversee and direct the annual planning and execution of system maintenance, including tree trimming and vegetation management of Cleco's 13,000 miles of electric lines, pole inspections and replacements, along with all Distribution system resiliency efforts, in support of improved system reliability to meet desired customer service levels. This involves strong vendor management skills, a keen awareness of field crew safety, strong budget and expense management skills, and the ability to establish KPIs and analyze performance measures. Additionally, this individual works closely with Distribution Operations Leadership Team, Engineering and other departments to assist in achieving companywide targets. Through regular contractor management, this leader also serves a key role in the corporate storm team by acquiring and directing tree trimming and line contracting crews during service restoration efforts following major storms. Key Responsibilities

- Actively manage the working relationships with other organizations in pursuit of objectives and goals.
- Develop and manage annual operating plans for distribution right-of-way re-clearing, distribution system maintenance and rehabilitation, distribution resiliency planning and execution, and statewide contractor services to achieve targeted performance results and efficient use of budgeted funds.
- Using historical data and vegetation management analytics tools, work with Engineering, GIS and operations managers to identify circuits to be re-cleared, inspected and rehabilitated, according to current construction standards to achieve desired reliability goals.
- Through thorough and ethical vendor management practices, properly manage vendor agreements to achieve maximum performance from contracted resources.
- Direct mutual assistance efforts, including use of mutual assistance crews for impacts to Cleco's service territory, and release of native contractors or assignment of Cleco employees to support other utilities.
- Responsible to ensure team successfully attends and completes all assigned safety and training modules, including TOPI / Human Performance training programs.
- Establish, monitor and maintain KPIs and other measures to ensure effective use of allocated budget.
- Readily provide assistance with labor and / or equipment when called upon to share resources across the T&D organization.
Qualifications Required Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field preferred and/or 10+ years of related experience
- 2-5+ years people management experience
- Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism
