What you will experience in this position: At nVent Management Company, you will be part of an ambitious team committed to delivering world-class solutions. As a Quality Control Technician in our Houston, TX manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring flawless execution and top-tier quality standards. You will: Inspect customer-supplied materials to ensure compliance with legends and drawings. Coordinate production checkpoints to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Record job progression and verify the use of accurate materials. Conduct final inspections to confirm all job specifications are met. Ensure all procedures have been followed and materials are accurately packed and identified for shipment. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all inspection activities. Collaborate with shop supervisors and engineering departments to resolve quality issues and determine corrective actions. Support continuous improvement programs and assist in updating quality procedures and work instructions. You have: A foundation in academia related to quality control, manufacturing, or a similar field. Prior background in quality assurance, examination, or a similar manufacturing position. Proficiency in reading tape measurements, blueprints, and wiring schematics. A basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and labor law guidelines. The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting items weighing an average of 20 lbs.
