Great Hill Solutions is seeking a highly motivated NavAir Model Based Systems Engineering Specialist (MBSE)to provide and support our government customer with model based systems engineering support. This position will be hybrid within the Patuxent River, MD, area.

This position will entail supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NavAir), in particular, the Digital Analytics, Infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group. They will support and perform Model Based Systems Engineering activities in support of the DAiTA Group and associated DAiTA Group customers. They will also lead and oversee metric dashboard initiatives related to the Naval LIFT / IME.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Supports systems engineering functions by developing executable architectures, system models, simulations, or analysis of architectures (Enterprise, SoS, Systems, components, etc.) to model inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area


    • This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems, plans and technical and non-technical processes, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance


  • Utilizes knowledge of object modeling or object oriented design concepts and techniques, including exposure to either UML or SysML in crafting of digital system models (defining and analyzing behaviors, interfaces, and parametric)
  • Establish and manage digital representations of the weapon system's technical baselines. Provide guidance on the analysis and synthesis of Requirements, Interfaces, Behavior, Structure and Parametric (RIBS-P) across the weapon systems technical baselines utilizing Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE)/SysML and various modeling and simulation tools
  • Lead or assists with development of integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.
  • Lead and oversee the creation of dashboards presenting real time metrics leveraging software such as Tableau, Grafana, OpenShift, Confluence, Jira, etc.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to report on site as needed
  • Experience utilizing CAMEO, Teamwork Cloud, or other MBSE software tools.
  • Experience utilizing Tableau, Grafana, OpenShift, Confluence, and Jira software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)


Desired Skills:



  • Active Top Secret
  • DoD and NavAir experience
  • Additional experience with Atlassian JIRA is desired
