Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence throughout the premises. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving position, giving you the opportunity to play a crucial role in protecting a dynamic environment while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, patients, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random security-related patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Observe and report security-related concerns, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and first responders as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities including access control, evacuation guidance, and/or incident documentation.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and assist individuals as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
