Security Officer - Retail Site - Afternoon Shift

As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Afternoon Shift in Happy Valley, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will remain visible during your patrols, address situations as they arise, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for anything unusual. Working environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or suspicious activity according to established procedures.
• Assist visitors, customers, and/or employees with directions and general information as needed.
• Support access control protocols by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining awareness of who is entering or leaving the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
