Job Description




As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Government in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your armed expertise will support a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. By working collaboratively and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation, you will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and visitors.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or suspicious activity within the government location.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  • Operate communication devices to report incidents, request assistance, and maintain contact with Allied Universal management and/or other team members.
  • Perform duties while armed in accordance with site-specific protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs related to patrol activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
