What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential disturbances.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and patients.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control systems and/or badge procedures is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
