SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY This position is dedicated to building and maintaining strong client relationships on a foundation of open and effective communication, ensuring Gentherm is positioned to deliver services in line with client goals, objectives, and expectations ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver new business opportunities with new and existing customers aligned with customer/product strategies Lead customer interactions as main point of contact Increase sales, profits and market share (as per Department KPI) in accordance with the company's thermal, pneumatic and electronic systems strategic direction through diverse sources, such as IHS data, press releases, trade shows or customer announcements (new models, face lifts, model replacements) Manage all commercial aspects of existing and new identified business (Business Case Development) in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner Obtain customer RFQ's for new business, provide customer price targets to internal teams and achieve program awards Participate in the Quote Kick-off meeting and provide all the financial details to the team as required Approve final price, price breakdowns and customer response letter Drive negotiations successfully Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments, and proactively addresses challenges. Represent the "Voice of the Customer" from a financial perspective to the internal teams (price negotiations, LTA, ECR price changes, price discrepancy) for the life of the project Develop and maintain frequent and effective communication with assigned customer base in order to review/resolve any price discrepancies/other financial issues as well as to ensure the development of future business opportunities Participate and provide input in internal cost reduction activities Input and update volume forecast and piece price for awarded and targeted programs into the Gentherm budgeting/forecasting tool Represent Gentherm as the main customer interface fostering and further developing a strong relationship Interface with internal global team to achieve objectives as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business related-field Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong negotiation skills Analytical skills Strategic thinking High self motivation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiar with managing North American accounts Experience with Ford Motor Company is a plus Experience in Thermal management, Electronics and/or Pneumatic & Lumbar systems is a plus Experience with automotive seat systems and/or interiors is a plus MBA degree NICE TO KNOW TRAVEL: Up to 15% Local COMPETENCIES: Deliver Results Understand the mission and output of your team; set SMART objectives and deliver Drive Change Focus on agility and commitment to continuous improvement; Understand and act on internal and external drivers of change Build Capability Foster a culture of learning and development; Support individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals Cultivate Innovation Openly embrace, create, implement and support new and innovative ideas, processes and technology that deliver business results PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (US): All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
